Reel Warrior

This award is meant to recognize significant leadership in fighting
cancer and inspiring others to do the same.

Who can submit a nomination?

Anyone can submit a nomination for the award—and nominations submitted by cancer patients, survivors, and advocates are especially welcome.

Award consideration is based on the following:

  • A patient with cancer, a fighter, a survivor, or in memoriam

  • An individual who spearheads fundraising activities for the cancer

    community

  • A leader with impactful contributions to associations/organizations

  • A role model to other people with cancer and survivors

  • An individual who exudes extraordinary spirit, grace, and optimism in the

    face of adversity

  • A visionary that serves to inspire others in working towards making a

    difference in cancer screening and prevention

  • Contributor or participant in the Fishing For A Cure event

Submission Requirements

In 50 words or less, summarize how the nominee meets the specified award criteria. Please include the nominee’s name, the writer’s relationship to the nominee, and how the nominee exemplifies excellence in the areas listed in the above criteria. Eligible nominees will be considered based on satisfactory completion of the nomination form.

To learn more about the nomination process and requirements contact a committee member. Nominations must be received by  Saturday, June 1st, 2024 to be considered. Recipient will be recognized at the Fishing For A Cure annual event, Friday, June 28th, 2024
